2nd Grade News
This week we welcomed a new student into our class. Victor joined our class on Thursday! We learned about the three branches of government and practices two-digit addition. 1st-4th grade is singing on Sunday. 2nd grade is singing at the 8:00 A.M. service. Students need to be in the 2nd grade classroom by 7:45 A.M. If you cannot make it to that service you are welcome to bring your child to the 10:30 A.M. service. A number of 2nd grade students either do not have headphones, or their headphones don’t work. Please make sure your child has working headphones at school. We use them daily for different activities. I do have two extra headphones, but I have them here only for emergencies. Did you know that babysitting is available the evening of All Saints’ Fest on November 2nd? It’s only $15 per child and available at school from 5:15 to 11 P.M.. Remember you can purchase tickets for this evening beginning Sept. 15 at $40 per person. The ticket includes a fine meal, fellowship, and the chance to bid on some great items. Watch for committee members selling tickets before school and on Sunday mornings. Or you can pick up a form, fill it out, and turn it into the school office with your payment. Donations for auction are accepted at any time. Incidentally, the first 100 people purchasing tickets will get a coupon for a free glass of wine the night of the event.. Also ask any ASF committee member about the Disney tickets incentive! You can email the committee at [email protected] Join Instagram to see pictures of what we are doing in 2nd grade. My username is mrsstafford2nd. I have not been good this week with taking pictures.
